ETaC laboratory works at the interface of Chemistry and Biology and develops original chemical tools able to elucidate, at the molecular level, the biological mechanisms that are aberrant in human diseases and to target these mechanisms aiming at novel therapeutic strategies. In particular, our research aims at modulating artificially gene regulation by acting on the DNA and its compaction. We focused on Epigenetics and, in particular,on DNA methylation.

Historically, the ETaC laboratory started as a joint venture between the CNRS and the Laboratoires Pierre Fabre, a pharmaceutical company in Toulouse.
